It was the area’s picturesque natural beauty which first attracted visitors to Pattaya and, while the charming little fishing village may have evolved into a colourful cityscape, the scenery still attracts large numbers of people.

The best views across the bay are from the hills to the south of the city, from which the “Pattaya City” sign flashes in vibrant colours.
