were built in the reign of King Mongkut, Rama IV, under the name of “Asai Sathan – the Residences” used as convalescent home, regarded as the first vacation homes of the country. There are two buildings. The large one is in white and the smaller one is in red. In the following reign, Queen Saovabha had the buildings renovated and named the white building “Maharaj Building” and the red one “Rajini Building”. Both buildings were registered by the Fine Arts Department as archeological sites on 14 October 1996.

How to get there: Located next to Ang Sila Fish Market. From Sukhumvit Rd., take the left turn into Ang Sila, the royal residences are on the right.
